제프 굿윈(Goodwin, Jeff)하버드대학교에서 사회학 박사학위를 취득했으며, 현재는 뉴욕대학교 사회학 교수로 있다. 저서로 『No Other Way Out: States and Revolutionary Movements, 1945-1991』이 있다. 『Rethinking Social Movements: Structure, Culture, and Emotion』, 『The Social Movements Reader: Cases and Concepts』를 공동으로 편집했다.
